This is considered a mid-grade handmade saw by Hideo Shindo, a well-known master sawmaker. The 180mm ryoba has 25 crosscut tpi and 11 rip tpi. Jay has a 270mm which he has been using for over 20 years. The Shindo Ryu is mentioned in the following pages:
