Laney College's Japanese Hand Tools II Class: Japanese Gate Project - 2006/12/09

Highlights from today's class:

1, 2 - John Crane carving the cloud shape on a rafter. There is no equivalent to the Western bow saw or band saw in the Japanese hand tools tradition, so curves are typically shaped with hand planes and chisels.
