Laney College's Japanese Hand Tools II Class: Japanese Gate Project - 2007/05/05

Go back to the Japanese Gate Project main page.

We only have two class sessions left. We are trying to get as much done as we can, then dismantle the parts and take them to Jay's class so they can be completed over the summer - Jay really wants to get this project done by the summer. It's hard to imagine that we've spent 23 class sessions on this project.

Highlights from today's class:

1 - End cap carving. One side completed and three more to go. Bob and John Merlie started working on this at Nikkei Matsuri last week.
